In Celebration of Corazon de Vida

Here at Lovestitch, an organization that is close to our hearts is Corazon de Vida (CDV). This essential non-profit provides basic needs and supplies to 500+ orphans across 10+ orphanages in Baja, Mexico. Corazon de Vida's mission is to "break the vicious cycle of poverty from perpetuating child abandonment. We believe that every child’s life is valued and holds the same potential, excitement and opportunity as any other life. It is up to us to work together to make sure our care transforms into each child’s hope for the future." 

Without the infrastructure that other countries have, orphaned children in Mexico are entirely reliant upon private funding. For nearly 30 years CDV has provided much needed support to local orphanages through funding, essential services, and continuing education programs. Their scholarships for teens aging out of the orphanage system has resulted in 40 college graduates.

As a company we donate 1% of total annual sales to CDV. Their annual gala, La Noche Blanca, recently raised roughly $300,000 - a record number for this annual event. We're proud to highlight this special night and this incredibly important organization.
